Dangerous Batch of Heroin in Area: Worcester DA Warns
There were 2 overdoses Friday, and six on Saturday. There is a particularly dangerous batch of heroin that is being used.
FITCHBURG, MA — There is a dangerous batch of heroin being used in the Fitchburg area this weekend, warns Worcester County District Attorney Joe Early, Jr., and Fitchburg Police Chief Ernest F. Martineau.
Fitchburg Police reported two deadly heroin overdoses yesterday and six overdoses on Saturday in one eight-hour span.
None of Saturday's overdoses has turned deadly, said the district attorney. People who are addicted to heroin and their families and friends should be aware that the heroin on the streets of Fitchburg this weekend is particularly dangerous.
