Icy roads led to dozens of traffic incidents around Massachusetts Wednesday morning, including a tragic fatality in Needham and a 55-car pileup on Route 128 North in Wakefield.
A traffic-related fatality has been confirmed in Needham, where a 63-year-old man was struck while assisting another driver.
Meanwhile, the morning rash on 128 resulted in several injuries, but State Police said none were believed to be serious. About 30 of the roughly 55 vehicles involved had to be towed.
