Eclectic Group of Eight Artists at the Beebe Estate Art Gallery

Beebe Estate May Art Show

In the month of May, the Beebe Estate art gallery will feature an eclectic group of eight artists inspired by nature and decorating the human form every Saturday in May (2, 9, 16, 23 and 30) from 11:00 AM until 3:00 PM. Weather permitting, we will feature work outside as well. Come and view this textural show. Most work will be for sale.

Constance Festo Lafond is an impressionist watercolorist who recently began adding collage to her paintings adding dimension and texture and creates a unique art form.

Bev Hinckley/Textilelations, a retired Melrose teacher and award winning quilter, is a fiber and mixed media artist who will show wall hangings, small fabric canvases, and her unique fabric greeting cards

Sydney Smith’s impressionistic paintings explore color, line and shape using oil pastels, charcoal, and colored pencil. Her use of bright color and odd line is interesting.

Kendra Dowd/Blue-Eyed Crow Studio, a textile/mixed media artist who combines fabric and found objects to create assemblages, will be showing her collages and three dimensional sculptures.

Merle Gordon, a retired Wakefield teacher, is an award winning photographer, earning three stars in International competition. She features landscapes and nature and will be showing her flowers.

Jeannie King, a retired Melrose teacher and award winning quilter, has turned her graphic arts background to fabric. She will show appliqued wall hangings and original prints

Sophie Glikson-Cahen, works in gouche, oil stick and mixed media. her installation at Beebe, Imagine, invites responses from viewers about what the world would be like if people collaborated like birds fly in formation

Louise Musto-Choate is inspired by texture and natural form when creating her one-of-a-kind silver jewelry pieces using precious metal clay. Once fired, the clay becomes .999 pure silver.
