On Saturday, September 26th, visit the Colonel James Hartshorne House, 41 Church Street and experience our history! The historic home, whose oldest part dates to 1681, is owned by the Town of Wakefield but maintained and preserved by the Colonel James Hartshorne House Association. The first floor of the home is furnished as a museum, and is available for rental for small functions.
The open hours on September 26th give the public a chance to walk through this wonderful historic home and see what it was like to live in Wakefield’s past.
The house will be on Saturday, September 26th from noon to 2:00 p.m. through the courtesy of the Colonel James Hartshorne House Association.

The Hartshorne House Open House is one of the events of Wakefield Heritage Day, sponsored annually by the town’s historical organizations.
