MA Office of Business Development Sr Reg'l Director & Town Admin. Maio guest speakers at Wakefield Lynnfield Chamber meeting, Sept 30th
Peter Milano, Senior Regional Director for the Massachusetts Office of Business Development, and Wakefield Town Administrator Steve Maio will be the guest speakers at the upcoming breakfast meeting of the Wakefield Lynnfield Chamber of Commerce on September 30th. The breakfast will be held at the Americal Civic Center beginning at 7:30 a.m. Director Milano has worked in economic development for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for the past 16 years, 15 of which have been spent working for the Massachusetts Office of Business Development, where he has worked with a range of companies, from start up to Fortune 50. He has also worked in recruiting foreign direct investment into Massachusetts for the Massachusetts Office of International Trade & Investment. The Director has worked throughout the Commonwealth, beginning in 1999 as a Project Manager in the Northeast Region, applying the state’s economic development programs to specific companies looking to site and grow in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. As the Senior Regional Director for the Massachusetts Office of Business Development, he assists with the training of regional staff on all Economic Development programs and interactions with municipalities, while serving as the MetroWest and Merrimack Valley Regional Director, covering the 50 cities and towns. Prior to joining the Massachusetts Office of Business Development, he owned and operated several small businesses and served as National Sales and Marketing Manager for a chemical and soap dispensing company. “We are pleased to have Senior Regional Director Milano and Town Administrator Maio as our guest speakers,” Wakefield Lynnfield Chamber of Commerce co-Presidents Cheryl Carroll and Tom Mullen said. “Milano’s expertise and experiences with the business sector as a government official and as a former business owner should be both interesting and insightful. We are also eager to hear Steve Maio’s outlook for the business community for the coming year.
