Representative Donald H. Wong to participate in key budget hearings throughout the Commonwealth as a member of Ways & Means Committee
State Representative Donald H. Wong (R-Ninth Essex District), a member of the Joint Committee on Ways & Means, will travel to several cities and towns in the Commonwealth during the next month where he will hear from a number of key agencies and departments as part of the Fiscal Year 2016 Budget Hearings. The hearings began with presentations by Administration and Finance, Constitutional Officers and the Inspector General at the State House on March 10thth and will conclude with a public hearing at the State House on April 13th. As a member of the Joint Committee, Representative Wong will attend hearings in the following locations: March 24th – Greenfield Community College, Greenfield, MA - Education and Local Aid agencies and staff; March 25th – Quinsigamond Community College, Worcester, MA - Public Safety, District Attorneys, Sheriffs and Judiciary; March 31st – Methuen High School, Methuen, MA - Environment and Energy, Transportation EOEEA; April 1st – Everett High School, Everett, MA - Economic Development and Housing, Labor and Workforce Development, Libraries and Cultural Council; April 7th – Medford City Hall, Medford, MA - Health and Human Services; April 9th – UMASS Center, Springfield, MA – Health and Human Services; April 13th – State House, Boston, MA – Public Hearing. Participation at the budget hearings is limited to the agencies and committee members. The public is welcome to attend the public hearing at the State House on Monday, April 13th.
