Plans before the Planning Board envision better pedestrian access, stronger Rail Trail connections, and potential new amenities like an ice rink and dog park, with improvements targeted for 2027.
   

• Wayland MA seniors have weekly equine therapy at BINA Farm in Sudbury (metrowestdailynews.com) — Wayland seniors at Carriage House at Lee's Farm are now taking weekly trips to BINA Farm in Sudbury for hands-on equine therapy, with family members invited to join. Residents groom, feed, and soon will ride horses, an activity staff say is especially helpful for those living with dementia by boosting connection, confidence, and conversation close to home.
   

• Water draw request highlights east-west divisions (sentinelandenterprise.com) — Wayland is seeking up to 3.5 million gallons per day from the MWRA system, a move that could shape future housing and development here if approved. Western Massachusetts lawmakers are pushing back on the broader Quabbin Reservoir expansion, arguing each community's needs, including Wayland's, should be scrutinized individually before the state authorizes more withdrawals.
