The Bridge of Central Mass is holding their First Annual BridgeFest on October 1, 2011. All proceeds will go towards their Health & Wellness Initiative. Adults with a major mental illness have an average life expectancy of 20 years younger than those without mental illness. The staff of The Bridge is working to change that through activities such as smoking cessation, nutrition and physical activities.
In order to support this worthwhile endeavor, St Luke's is joining the men who reside at The Bridge on Charles Street in a 5K Run / 1 mile Walk on Saturday, October1. Pat Gagnon and Gloria Josephs along with the parish youth group are doing the walk with the men. Parishioners of all ages are invited to join the team, "Westborough Pride," in supporting our friends and neighbors. Plan to gather in the parish center parking lot at 8:30 a.m.
