Golfers Tee Up at Country Club

After a long, hard winter, it is time to dust off the golf clubs and get back into the swing of the season.

After an exceptionally long, hard winter, most people are looking forward to activities that will get them out into the spring air. For those looking to return to the golf course, the outlook in Westborough is especially rosy.

The opened to golfers on March 18, offering a nine hole, par 36 golf course that passed through this rough winter in great shape. According to resident course pro Jack Negoshian, the club installed breathable tarps on all of the greens and the vast amounts of snow on them actually helped rather than hurt the grass because there was no erosion.

For those itching to get back onto the links, the time is here. Negoshian said that lessons for novices are currently limited due to a lack of a driving range. There are lessons available for the short game and putting. For available tee times, call the club at 508-366-9947, or check out the website.
