Westborough Little League Parade Returns To Celebrate More Than 50 Seasons

Saturday's event marks the first annual Little League parade since 2019.

WESTBOROUGH, MA — An annual tradition returns this weekend as Westborough kids get ready to start the baseball and softball season.

Westborough Little League baseball and softball will celebrate the 2026 Spring Season with a parade on Saturday morning. The event serves as a traditional kickoff for the league, just as it is celebrating more than 50 years in the town.

The event marks the first annual Little League parade since 2019. It will begin at 10 a.m. at Baystate Commons, at 1100 Union St.

From Baystate Commons, paraders will exit onto East Main Street via Union Street, travel through the rotary onto West Main Street and finish at Westborough High School, at 90 W. Main St.

Residents are encouraged to line the parade route to cheer on players and help celebrate the season.

"We are excited to have this great tradition return to Westborough," Westborough police said.

Police said that traffic in the area will be impacted for about 30 minutes, and are urging drivers to plan accordingly.

A total of 13 teams, made up of both female and male players from multiple age divisions, will play this season, according to Westborough Little League's website.

The 2026 Spring Season includes both baseball and softball divisions and will run through early summer, featuring games at a handful of fields throughout Westborough, including Haskell Field, Rogers Field, Greg's Field, Target Field and Mill Pond School.

Westborough Little League offers a number of opportunities for kids to play, including spring baseball and softball seasons, a summer softball season, a challenger division for individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities and a tournament team, according to its website.
