Westborough Woman Among Top US Rowers

Samantha Fowle of Westborough won the Big Ten Women’s Rowing Championship as part of the Ohio State University (OSU) Women’s Rowing Team. The championships took place on May 15 at Eagle Park in Indiana.

The OSU team placed in all six races, and was invited to participate in the NCAA Division 1 Rowing Finals which were held May 27 through 29 in Sacramento, California.  

The OSU boat 2V8, with which Fowle was competing, made the Grand Finals in Sacramento. Among the top 16 schools in the country, the 2V8 placed fourth.

Fowle is a 2009 graduate of and a scholar athlete varsity rower for Ohio State University.
