WOBURN, MA — A state trooper has received another sharp penalty in connection with a car crash that killed a man two years ago in Woburn.
The POST Commission, a Massachusetts agency overseeing state law enforcement, has suspended the certification of Sgt. Scott Quigley, according to multiple reports.
Quigley, 41, was behind the wheel of a cruiser that collided head-on with a van in December 2023. A passenger died in the crash and the driver was injured. Medical reports later showed the trooper’s blood alcohol content was above the legal limit.
