Woburn Boys & Girls Club Expansion Approved: Report
The City Council recently gave the $8.5 million project the green light.

Woburn, MA – A multi-million dollar expansion and renovation project for the James L. McKeown Boys & Girls Club has been approved.
In a unanimous vote, the City Council granted the project a special permit with 12 conditions attached, the Daily Times Chronicle reported.
The project will increase the size of the club to 44,000-square-feet and include a new gymnasium, an expanded swimming pool and more space for after-school programs, according to the Daily Times Chronicle. In addition, a new entrance with expanded administrative offices will be build, and the kitchen and locker room areas will be upgraded.

The Boys & Girls club will be allowed temporary usage of Clapp Elementary School for its after-school programs until October 2017.
