Woburn Coronavirus: 34 Total Cases, State of Emergency Declared
Eight residents have been taken out of isolation as of Tuesday afternoon, the city said.
WOBURN, MA — Twenty-four Woburn residents are currently in isolation for the new coronavirus, as of Tuesday afternoon. Two have died while eight have recovered and been taken out of isolation. The total, 34, is nine more than Monday's total.
An additional 34 residents are in quarantine, while 35 have left quarantine after being cleared.
As of Tuesday afternoon, 6,620 Massachusetts residents have tested positive for the virus. Eighty-nine have died.

Woburn Mayor Scott Galvin declared a state of emergency Tuesday, in response to the new virus. According to the order, the declaration will give the city easier access to state and federal funding related to the virus outbreak.
