Here's When This Worcester Restaurant Damaged By Fire Will Reopen

The brand-new eatery that opened in the city's Glass Tower was forced to close in September.

WORCESTER, MA — The wait is almost over. A brand-new restaurant in Worcester that was forced to close in September has officially announced its reopening date.

Vivienne Coastal Mediterranean, the eatery that opened in the city's Glass Tower, will officially celebrate its grand reopening on Mar. 26. The restaurant's owner, Michael Covino, took to social media on Thursday to share the news.

Vivienne, which first opened at 446 Main St. on Sept. 3, 2025, had to close just over a week later, on Sept. 9, after a small electrical fire occurred at the restaurant.

Once open, the eatery will serve raw and chilled seafood, caviar, pasta, prepared meat and seafood dishes and dessert.

Covino added that reservations will be released soon and that the restaurant is now hiring for all positions.

Interested candidates can apply here. Vivienne will also host front-of-house open houses for those interested in working there on Mar. 9 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

While Vivienne remains closed, VUE, a cocktail lounge, has been open on the 24th floor of the Glass Tower. VUE is open every Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Niche Hospitality owns several other restaurants in Worcester, including Bocado, Mezcal, The Fix, and Green Island Oyster, which opened its doors last July.
