MassGOP Nominating Convention Happening In Worcester This Month
Party leaders said the event "brings together thousands of activists from across the state."

WORCESTER, MA — The Massachusetts Republican Party is set to bring its 2026 nominating convention to Worcester later this month, drawing delegates, candidates and party activists from across the state.
The convention is scheduled for Apr. 25 at the DCU Center, where Republicans will gather to shape the party’s slate for the 2026 statewide elections.
MassGOP Chair Amy Carnevale said the event "brings together thousands of activists from across the state to celebrate the great ideas and plans we have for a better Massachusetts."

On Saturday, nominating and balloting will take place for candidates for U.S. Senate, Treasurer, Attorney General, Lt. Governor and Governor.
The Republican candidates for governor of Massachusetts are Mike Minogue, Brian Shortsleeve and Mike Kennealy. Each has a speaking slot at the convention. To secure the slot, each campaign contributed $50,000 to the Republican State Committee, according to Mass GOP.

The Massachusetts Democratic Party’s 2026 Nominating Convention will also be held in Worcester at the DCU Center on Friday and Saturday, May 29 and May 30.
