Edsel Ford Former, Current Students Hold Fundraiser for Teacher with Cancer

Supporters hope to raise funds for Michael Grenfell's treatment.

When many people are diagnosed with cancer, they go it alone. But economics teacher Michael Grenfell has hundreds of supporters–and they're holding a dinner in his honor.

Supporters of Grenfell are hosting a spaghetti dinner on Wednesday at Edsel Ford's cafeteria from 5-7:30 p.m. All proceeds will go to his family to help offset the cost of treatment at the Mayo Clinic.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased until noon Wednesday at Edsel Ford, and a limited number at the door. Over 300 tickets have already been purchased.

"Mr. Grenfell is a great person and deserves the best care possible," said Jillian Kwiatkowski Dahm. "I hope there's a good turnout for this!"
