Dearborn Man, 19, Charged With Child Sex Crimes: Police (patch.com) — Dearborn residents are being alerted after a 19-year-old local man was charged with multiple child sex-related offenses, including child sexually abusive activity and using a computer to commit a crime. Michigan State Police say they seized digital evidence from his home and suspect online distribution of illicit material, urging parents in Dearborn to talk with their children about safe internet use and available online safety resources. 
2. Dearborn Dental Manager Charged In Medicaid Fraud Scheme: AG (patch.com) — A Dearborn dental office manager has been charged with running a Medicaid fraud scheme involving bills for dental crowns that prosecutors say were never provided. The Dearborn resident faces a criminal enterprise count and 14 Medicaid fraud counts, with a court date set for Oct. 2, underscoring how state investigators are scrutinizing local health-care billing practices.
3. Officials cut ribbon on innovative ACCESS Recovery Center (accesscommunity.org) — Dearborn residents will soon have a major new resource for addiction and behavioral health care as ACCESS opens its three-story Recovery Center in phases starting in early 2027. The Dearborn-based facility will combine treatment, crisis stabilization, residential recovery, and even a community garden, with strong partnerships with local schools, police, and faith groups to reduce stigma and support families.
4. Service Center Support Specialist Associate (umich.edu) — A new two-year Service Center Support Specialist Associate role is open at the University of Michigan‑Dearborn, supporting campus-wide IT needs on the Dearborn campus. Local candidates with at least a year of tech support experience can expect hands-on work with hardware, software, networking, and AV systems, plus strong benefits and potential renewal after the initial term.
5. Ford F-150 production halts at Michigan plant for nearly a week (tradersunion.com) — Ford has temporarily halted F‑150 production for nearly a week at its Dearborn Truck Plant, disrupting output of one of the company's most important vehicles. Some shifts in Kansas City are also canceled while Kentucky ramps up to compensate, a change Dearborn workers and suppliers will feel immediately in schedules and short-term operations.
