Dearborn schools bringing more Michigan-grown food to students (mlive.com) — Families in Dearborn Public Schools can expect more Michigan-grown food in cafeterias after the district secured a $460,565 Good Food for Michigan grant. Officials say the money will help serve healthier, locally sourced meals at more than 30 sites, strengthen ties with state farmers, and support the 20,000 students who rely on over 3 million school meals each year.
   

• Ford F-150 Production Halted for Nearly a Week at Michigan Plant (daxstreet.com) — Ford has paused F-150 production at Dearborn's Truck Plant through at least September 29 because of an unspecified supplier issue, costing the city several days of output at its signature factory. While Ford is boosting production in Kentucky to soften the blow, the company warns that prolonged disruption could tighten truck inventory and add pressure during an already challenging sales year.
   

• Dearborn man, 19, charged with child sexually abusive activity following investigation (cbsnews.com) — A 19-year-old Dearborn man has been charged with nearly a dozen counts involving child sexually abusive activity and related computer crimes after an investigation by national child protection groups and Michigan State Police. Authorities say digital evidence was seized from his Dearborn home, and he is being held on a $500,000 bond while awaiting a probable cause conference this week.
