Sheryl Crow Turns Kid Rock’s Possible Senate Run Into A Song: Video

"At least the guy's not 90 in his 32nd term," Sheryl Crow sang, "but a pole in the Lincoln bedroom is bound to make some people squirm."

While Kid Rock continues to tease Michigan voters with a possible run for the U.S. Senate in 2018, his duet partner, close friend and rumored former girlfriend Sheryl Crow sang what sounded like an endorsement in a new song recorded over the weekend, “I’m Still Alive.”

The title is a response to Twitter user @TunaCatsup, who said Crow must be “rolling in her grave” over the prospect that Romeo, Michigan, native Robert Ritchie — that is Kid Rock’s legal name — would try to unseat U.S. Sen. Debbie Stabenow, a Lansing Democrat who has served since 2001.

Not so much, it seems. Crow tweeted back, and then used her response to title a song that lets the world know that she thinks Kid Rock could shake things up. She is less generous where President Trump, whom Kid Rock endorsed, is concerned. It begins: “If Kid Rock runs for Senate, I wouldn't be surprised/ But not over my dead body, cause dude, I’m still alive!”

The song goes on: “Maybe Mr. Ritchie can fix some things for us/ like making sure Detroit is set to make an electric tour bus/ At least the guy’s not 90 in his 32nd term/ but a pole in the Lincoln bedroom is bound to make some people squirm.”
