Farmington Hills Teen Chosen for FEMA Youth Council
The 15-year-old was selected based on his public service and community involvement.

Farmington Hills, MI — Preston Buszka, a 15-year-old completing his sophomore year at Farmington High School, wants young people to become more aware of emergency preparedness.
Since being named to Federal Emergency Management Agency’s 2016-2018 Youth Preparedness Council, Buszka will play an important role in how that goal is accomplished.
The Farmington Observer reports that Buszka is already a member of the Mayor’s Youth Council and is one of two youth representatives on Farmington Hills’ Emergency Preparedness Council. “I’m very excited,” Buszka said. “I’m really looking forward to making our region, and the country, safer.”

Farmington Hills Mayor Ken Massey said Buszka’s selection for the council is “very impressive.”
“Yet again, Farmington Hills stands out and leads the way, and this time it’s one of our youth doing it,” Massey told The Farmington Observer. “Preston is a very outgoing young man. He’s bright, he’s motivated and I think he’s got a very bright future ahead of him.”
