Four Farmington-area High School Students Among Channel 7's Best & Brightest
The television station will award a $5,000 scholarship to one of the 256 academic stand-outs.
Channel 7, WXYZ recently honored the 256 recipients of this year's "Best and Brightest" award with a special luncheon at the station in Southfield. Among the winners for 2012, the 33rd year of program, were four from Farmington-area schools.
The station teamed up with Gardner-White Furniture this year to present the Brightest and Best Essay Contest. One lucky honoree who submits a 500-word essay on how to move Michigan forward by retaining college graduates to work and live in Michigan will receive a $5,000 scholarship.
