North Congregational, Walled Lake Western Musicians Present Schubert Mass
The Farmington Hills church hosts a fundraising concert April 29, featuring 'Mass in G'.

The Chancel Choir of , accompanied by the Walled Lake Western High School Chamber Strings, will perform the Franz Schubert Mass in G, on April 29 at 4 p.m.
The concert, held at the church, is a fundraiser for both groups and features local musicians.
The Mass in G, written in 1815, features soprano soloist, Brandy Ellis of Farmington Hills; tenor soloist Theodore Hoelter of Farmington; and baritone soloist, James Wilking of Farmington Hills.

Additional musical selections in the concert will include a string orchestra work and American Spirituals sung by the North Congregational Church Chancel Choir. The choir and orchestra will be conducted by Laurie Meeker, the church's music director, who studied with Dr. Harry M. Langsford, Professor of Music and conductor of the internationally acclaimed Men’s Glee Club and Chamber Singers of Wayne State University.
The Walled Lake Western High School Chamber Orchestra is directed by Edward McDonald of Farmington Hills.

A free will offering will be requested to benefit future music presentations of the orchestra and the church music program. A reception will be held following the concert. The church is at 36520 12 Mile, on the north side of the road between Drake and Halsted.
