Novi Man Finds Apple AirTag Tracker On Car: Report

A local auto theft task force told FOX 2 Detroit they're seeing more of these devices attached to vehicles in Metro Detroit.

NOVI, MI — A Novi man found an unknown Apple AirTag tracker on his 2018 Dodge Charger, 392 Scat Pack, Fox 2 Detroit reported.

The man received an alert on his phone that he was being tracked by an unknown AirTag, and it gave him the option to have the device emit a sound, which he did and found it under the car, according to the report.

Apple AirTags are about the size of a coin and can be attached to almost anything. They're connected by bluetooth to a phone, which then tracks whatever they're stuck on. The AirTags are sold in a pack of four for $100.
