Suspect May Try to Sell Diabetic Test Strips to Pharmacy

Farmington police are seeking the public's help in identifying the suspect.

FARMINGTON, MI – A man who allegedly stole several boxes of diabetic test strips probably wasn’t a desperate diabetic.

Rather, Farmington police told The Farmington Observer the suspect most likely planned to fence the medical supplies or sell them to another pharmacy.

The theft took place about 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 29.

Surveillance video showed a man loitering near the pharmacy until customers left, then forcing his way through the employee door at the pharmacy counter. Once in the secured area, he allegedly put several boxes of the test strips in a black garbage bag. He fled the store and was last seen running through a parking lot, according to a report on The Farmington Voice.

The suspect is described as a black male between the ages of 18-22, approximately 5 feet, 9 inches to 6 feet tall, and with a slim build. he was wearing a black Carhartt-style jacket with a hood and a gray knit hat, police said
