City Jen Plus Size Resale Boutique Celebrates Grand Opening in Westland
Westland, MI - (For Immediate Release) - City Jen Resale is celebrating its Grand Opening in Westland, MI on Sat, December 16 & Sun, December 17 with a full weekend of Giveaways, Discounts, Events and Fun. The new boutique offers a uniquely comfortable and stylish option for women sizes L & up to shop for beautiful, affordable gently-used clothing. The store is located at 6511 N Wayne Rd, Westland, MI 48185 between Hibachi Grill & Rent-a-Center.
Just in time for holiday shopping ~ Celebrate Saturday, December 16 from 11 am - 7pm and Sunday, December 17 from noon - 5 pm. The first 10 customers in line Saturday will receive a Free City Jen T-shirt, the next 20 will receive a Free City Jen Mug and the first 50 will receive a city Jen pen! All used clothing is discounted 20% OFF of everyday low prices. Enjoy FREE refreshments throughout the weekend, including wine & cookies, plus FREE face painting Saturday from noon - 6pm. In addition to gently-used clothing size L and up, City Jen carries new jewelry and hand-made consignment items by local women. It’s a business owned and run by women - for women.
“Today’s average woman wears a size XL but can’t find a comfortable place to try on larger clothing - especially used. We want women to know they have a safe space to try things on without judgement - where they’re treated with respect,” said Owner Jen Evans. “Our clothing is organized and clearly labeled by category (ie. working attire, everyday wear) and then by size - L - 5XL for fast, simple shopping. We also strive to keep pricing low across the board.”
The store takes pride in re-selling gently used items. Used products are more affordable, costing less than the lowest clearance prices. It’s also better for the environment - the US alone contributes 10.5 million tons of clothing to landfills every year. Buying clothing that has already been washed also gives a better view of the garment’s quality - many low quality clothing items begin shedding or fraying after the first wash.
“We wanted to be different from thrift stores,” said Jen May, Owner. “Our shop is clean, high end and modern. City Jen dressing rooms are larger, making it easier for plus size women to try things on. We’re setting up a comfy lounge by the dressing rooms to relax, plus seats inside dressing rooms - It’s all about comfortable shopping.”
As a resale shop, City Jen also buys women’s clothing gently used size L and Up for cash or in-store credit. They offer simple, across the board pricing that allows for great prices and quick turnover - meaning they always have a new selection and you can always find what you need at a great price.
