USPBL prepares for star-studded lineup at its inaugural Fall Music Classic (candgnews.com) — Utica residents can look forward to the inaugural USPBL Fall Music Classic at UWM Field Sept. 18-20, bringing major country, rap, and rock acts to town. City leaders hope the three-day festival will boost downtown restaurants, bars, and shops, adding to Utica's growing lineup of entertainment attractions. Tickets start at $81.89 and are on sale now.
   

2. Utica City Council approves police purchase of drone through state grant (candgnews.com) — Utica's City Council has approved the police department's purchase of a high-tech Axon Air Skydio X10 drone, fully funded by a state grant with no local tax dollars. The drone will support searches for missing people, document crash scenes faster, and bolster security at special events, with several officers receiving FAA-certified training to operate it safely over the city.
   

3. Eisenhower debuts new stadium with shutout of Stevenson (macombdaily.com) — Utica Eisenhower boys soccer christened the newly renovated Swinhart Stadium with a 3-0 shutout of Sterling Heights Stevenson, extending their perfect, shutout start to the season. The game marked the first official contest at the stadium in 1.5 years, giving local fans a look at a strong Eagles squad before tougher matchups against Troy Athens and Romeo later this week.
