Edina Alpine Skiing Teams Place at State Meet
Kiltie Finsand takes second overall in the girls' event.
The Edina boys and girls alpine skiing teams finished sixth and fifth, respectively, at the state meet Wednesday, Feb. 16, at Giants Ridge in Biwabik.
The Hornets’ boys team finished tied for sixth with Stillwater Area with 95 team points, while the girls finished fifth with 120 points.
St. Thomas Academy won the boys event (174), and Minnetonka took home the girls’ state title (149).

For the girls, Kiltie Finsand finished second overall with a two-run time of 1:13.8, four-tenths of a second behind Bloomington Jefferson’s Brenna Murray for the top spot. Taylor Johnson took 22nd at 1:19.4 and Thea Zerbe took 48th at 1:23.3.
On the boys side, Will Baker took 35th with a two-run time of 1:14.1, while Jack Post took 39th at 1:15.0, Rolf Tengdin took 42nd at 1:15.5 and Coleman Foley took 48th at 1:17.5.
