(PHOTOS) Edina High School's Class of 2012 Graduates
The school's 62nd commencement took place at the Target Center on Monday, June 11.
The class of 2012 was cheered on at the Minneapolis Target Center Monday night, with students, parents and well-wishers gathering for the school’s 62nd commencement.
The soon-to-be graduates were addressed by Superintendent of Edina Public Schools Ric Dressen and Edina High School Principal W. Bruce Locklear, with the latter also presenting the class for graduation.
The faculty address was originally to be given live by science teacher Steve Sanger, but due to the impending birth of his child just before the ceremony, the teacher’s message was pre-recorded and broadcast on video monitors. Graduating seniors Carly Crist and Cavonte Johnson were chosen to address the assembled crowd, and by all reports did an excellent job.
