After media inquiries, a city crew investigated but has yet to pinpoint the source, leaving him worried as water creeps closer to his home's foundation.

Bloodied, partially naked, unconscious, family demands answers after KC woman is found dying outside her home (fox4kc.com) — Kansas City police are still investigating how 42-year-old Katie Garcia was found critically injured outside her home near 28th and Prospect, and her family is pleading for answers. Loved ones say she's now off medical intervention and are urging anyone who saw or heard anything around July 29–30 to contact KCPD or the TIPS Hotline.

Missouri Supreme Court to hear challenges involving new congressional map, referendum process (kmbc.com) — Kansas City residents' congressional representation is at stake as the Missouri Supreme Court prepares to hear challenges next week to the new map that splits Kansas City into three districts. Justices will weigh whether voters can force a statewide referendum on the map and related petition rules, decisions that could affect November's elections and future redistricting.

Driver injured after colliding with police vehicle in Kansas City (kctv5.com) — A driver suffered minor injuries Thursday after colliding with a KCPD vehicle at 31st Street and Southwest Trafficway in Kansas City. Police say the officer was entering the intersection with lights and siren on when a southbound Ford Flex struck the cruiser, adding to traffic headaches already caused by a nearby street collapse.
