9 Crimson Tide Wrestlers Place At Successful 35th Annual Capital City Classic Wrestling Tournament In Concord
Wrestlers from 39 high schools participated in about 700 bouts. Bishop Hendricken High School placed 1st while Concord placed 2nd in points.
CONCORD, NH — Nine Concord High School Crimson Tide wrestlers placed while the school took second place at the 35th annual Capital City Classic Wrestling Tournament on Saturday.
Bishop Hendricken High School of Warwick, Rhode Island, a Catholic boys’ prep school, placed first, as they have for several years, with 211 points, while Concord scored 191.5 points. Bedford High School came in third, Keene was fourth, and Spaulding High School in Barre, Vermont, came in fifth.
Students from 39 high schools — the most ever, participated in nearly 700 bouts. The event raised around $12,000 for Concord’s wrestling program.

Concord wrestlers placing in the 14-weight bracket competitions included Biswas Darji, who placed fourth in the 106-pound bracket; Carter Buxton, who placed sixth, in the 113; Dominic Schinella, who placed third, in the 126; in the 132-pound bracket, Owen Gregg placed second; Jaxon Carter, in the 144 bracket, placed fourth; Daniel Sheehan came in sixth in the 150; Maximus Chung, in the 175, placed second; as did Isaiah Puckett in the 215; and Wayne Gutierrez-Sakakeeny placed fourth in the 285.

Other wrestlers from Concord who competed in the event were Madison Beauregard, Camden Carbone, Leonardo Chung, Davian Dionne, Khai Jawitz, Nolan Levesque, Jakob Manseau, and Nick Roberts.
Capital region wrestlers included Jacob Coulon of Bow, who placed sixth in the 138-pound bracket, while Nolan Linstad of Hopkinton also came in sixth in the 144.
This year’s community supporters included the Ninety-Nines, Angelina’s Ristorante Italiano, The Barley House, Checkmate Pizza, Concord Co-op, New Hampshire Print & Mail, The Red Blazer, Starbucks, Smokeshow BBQ, Weathervane, and The Windmill.
