After Finding 1, U.S. Marshals Capture A Second Fugitive In NH
The New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force found Travis Magoon on Wednesday and then, also found Tyler Leary, who was wanted in Maine.
CONCORD, NH — The New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force was able to arrest two fugitives in Strafford County on Wednesday who were wanted in two different states.
Travis Michael Magoon, 37, was wanted on a warrant for failure to appear in court on a possession of a dangerous weapon charge after previously being convicted on the same charge about two years ago. He was featured on Wednesday.
Members of the task force, while conducting research and interviews, were led to property owned by a family member in Strafford, according to Jeffrey White, a deputy marshal.

“At this residence, Magoon was found residing in a camper at the rear of the property,” he said. “Magoon was arrested without incident and transported directly to the Belknap County Jail where he will be processed and held without bail pending his initial court appearance later today in the Belknap County Superior Court.”
Later on, task force members began looking for Tyler Christopher Leary, 29, who was last known to live in Rochester. He was wanted out of Maine for failure to appear on a narcotics charge as well as a failure to appear on a drug-dealing charge out of Strafford County Superior Court.

“Additionally, Leary recently amassed a third arrest warrant issued out of the Dover NH District Court alleging that he was in violation of a protective order and two counts of criminal threatening: fear of bodily harm,” White said.
Marshals were searching Rochester for Leary and found him — reportedly sitting in the rear of a vehicle at a store.
“The task force was able to quickly mobilize and stop the vehicle in downtown Rochester, where Mr. Leary was arrested without incident,” White said.
Leary was taken to the Strafford County Jail for processing and holding on the New Hampshire warrants. He will also be charged as a fugitive from justice based on the outstanding arrest warrant issued out of Maine. Leary, White added, will have “multiple court hearings in New Hampshire to attend to clear his local criminal matters prior to being returned to Maine to face his other narcotics-related charge.”
