ARRESTS: Mass. Man Arrested on DWI, Drug Charges

Plus, Hopkinton man also arrested on DWI, numerous others arrested on bench warrants.

Jean Hodari, 41, of East Side Drive in Concord, was arrested at 11:03 p.m. on Aug. 1, 2014, on two simple assault charges. Officers were sent to an apartment on East Side Drive for a possible assault. Upon arrival, they spoke with Hodari, who allegedly had very red eyes, was drinking from a can of beer, and appeared to be intoxicated. The officers spoke with two young women and two young boys. One of the young women alleged that Hodari, her stepfather, was banging on her closed bedroom door. She opened the door and told him to leave her alone but he allegedly pushed her. She pushed back and he allegedly pushed again. Hodari allegedly tried to head-butt the girl but she moved out of the way and he allegedly pushed her again and she scraped her ankle on a bedframe. One of her brothers came in and started yelling at Hodari and he allegedly spit on the boy a few times. Communication between the officers and all involved was difficult because their native tongue was Kinyarwanda, according to the report. A Lutheran Social Services social worker was contacted on the phone in order to get a statement from Hodari but it didn’t really work, the officer alleged, because “Hodari was avoiding the questions that were being asked of him. He was arrested and was arraigned on Sept. 8.

Shelby E. Weston, 48, a homeless man now located in Concord, was arrested at 9:32 a.m. on Aug. 2, 2014, on a bench warrant. An officer patrolling near the Concord Center on Ferry Street and came across Weston who had an active warrant from July 29, for bail jumping, $124 cash to settle. He was arrested and arraigned on Aug. 7.

Walter Irving Healey, 60, a homeless man now located in Concord, received a summons at 11:30 a.m. on Aug. 2, 2014, on a possession of alcoholic beverages-public property charge. While patrolling on Storrs Street, a man was found underneath the bridge with a beer in his hand. Healey stated that he was just released from prison. He said he was using the beer as pain medication. He had a court date on Sept. 8.

Jeremy O. Rosado, 26, of Falulah Street in Fitchburg, MA, was arrested at 10:48 p.m. on Aug. 2, 2014, on driving while intoxicated, possession of controlled drugs, and possession of drugs charges. While on Loudon Road an officer came across a Honda S2000 convertible that appeared to be traveling well below the 30 mph speed limit and traveling close to the double yellow line. “I observed this vehicle exhibit extremely poor driving ability,” according to the report. The Honda made two U-turns in the middle of traffic and was pulled over. The driver, Rosado, had allegedly “a strong slur” and had droopy, bloodshot, and smelled like alcohol. Rosado agreed to field sobriety tests and was arrested. During a pat down, an officer allegedly found a marijuana cigarette in his shorts pocket and a small amount in the car. Rosoda was arraigned on Aug. 18.

David K. Best, 37, of Thompson Street in Concord, was arrested at 11:50 a.m. on Aug. 3, 2014, on a bench warrant. Police were sent to Thompson Street for a report of a disturbance that later was unfounded. Best, however, had an active warrant from April 22, from Concord District Court for nonpayment of attorney’s fees. He’s due in court on Sept. 19.

Raymond Peter Brown, 52, of Fayette Street in Concord, was arrested at 1:08 a.m. on Aug. 4, 2014, on a bench warrant. An officer was sent to Fayette Street for a mental health issue with a roommate. A check of Brown yielded an active warrant from April 22, out of Concord District Court for nonpayment of attorney fees on a simple assault charge, $165 cash to settle. He was arrested and is due in court on Sept. 19.

Joshua Salem, 36, of Summer Street in Penacook, was arrested at 1:45 a.m. on Aug. 4, 2014, on a driving after revocation or suspension charge. A check of a vehicle on Clinton Street revealed that the owner had an active warrant. The vehicle was stopped and the driver, Salem, had a suspended license from March 25, for nonpayment of a court fine. He was arrested and is due in court on Sept. 15.

Jennifer L. Schneider, 33, of Franklin Street in Concord, was arrested at 1:34 p.m. on Aug. 4, on a criminal mischief charge from July 22, at the House of India Restaurant on Pleasant Street. She had a court date on Sept. 8.

Daniel J. Goodsell, 21, of Prospect Street in Concord, was arrested at 2:17 p.m. on Aug. 4, 2014, on a false fire alarm; aiding/abetting charge from July 17, on Beacon Street. “Daniel was told about the warrant and he claimed he did nothing wrong,” according to the officer. He was arraigned on court on Sept. 8.

Jason William McCormick, 37, a homeless man now located in Concord, was arrested at 9:35 p.m. on Aug. 4, 2014, for criminal trespass. An officer on foot patrol on North Main Street saw McCormick outside of the Hess gas station. The officer knew he had a no trespass order for the property and dispatch confirmed the active no trespass order. He was arrested and arraigned on Sept. 8.
