CONCORD, NH — A local drug dealer, who has escaped a number of scrapes with the law during the past few years, is heading to prison.

Adam Beck, 26, of Boscawen received an 84-month sentence in federal prison on four drug trafficking charges for distributing methamphetamine and fentanyl around New Hampshire.

Back in October 2020, investigators with the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Drug Task Force received information that Beck was distributing drugs in Boscawen and Warner, according to a cooperating witness. The informant assisted the task force — including Concord and Webster police, Merrimack County sheriff’s officials, and the U.S. Marshals Service, in making controlled buys of both drugs.

In December 2020, Beck was arrested. At the time, he was in possession of $1,200 and a bag of fentanyl. At his home in Webster, investigators found $15,000 in cash, a pound and a half of meth, 100 grams of fentanyl, and “other incriminating items” in Beck’s room.

“Methamphetamine and fentanyl are dangerous drugs that are damaging far too many lives in New Hampshire,” Acting U.S. Attorney John Farley said. “As this case demonstrates, we are working closely with our law enforcement partners to ensure that drug dealers who seek to profit from selling these deadly substances are held responsible for their unlawful conduct. This substantial sentence will ensure that Mr. Beck cannot endanger further lives by selling drugs in the Granite State.”

Beck has been arrested numerous times around the state on various drug charges, according to online posts and superior court documents.

After a driving while intoxicated and drug possession arrest in New London in September 2017, Beck reached a plea deal with a suspended sentence for two years on the felony drug charge in March 2018 while other charges were dropped.

A little more than two years after that arrest, he faced numerous charges in Webster including meth-dealing, reckless conduct, reckless operation, drug possession, driving after revocation or suspension, and other charges. Beck was also arrested in Lebanon on meth and heroin charges.

In August 2020, he pleaded guilty to the Webster reckless conduct, meth sales, and revocation, and other charges, while the Lebanon charges were dropped. In April, Beck also pleaded guilty to violation of probation or parole connected to the case.

In August 2020, he pleaded guilty to a delivery of weapon, contraband charge into the Merrimack County Jail in Boscawen.

Beck was also arrested and charged with nine possession-sale of narcotic charges in December 2020 in Boscawen, Concord, and Webster. Those charges were nolle prossed in March.

This past February, the AG's Office filed a complaint to acquire $16,060 in cash from Beck and was awarded a default judgment by the court after Beck failed to file in a timely manner.
