Chichester Woman Faces Felony Charge After Liquor Store Robbery
Tasha Krista Nolan faces robbery and theft charges after a Concord liquor and wine outlet employee recognized her from past arrests.

CONCORD, NH — An astute liquor store employee helped police crack a robbery case after an incident last summer in Concord. Around 1:30 p.m. on Aug. 16, 2019, officers were sent to the New Hampshire Liquor and Wine Outlet on Fort Eddy Road for a past tense theft involving a blonde woman who had stolen liquor from the store. When they arrived, they spoke to the store manager and another employee about the incident and the employee pointed to her phone showing a recent Patch article involving a woman from Massachusetts being arrested for drunken driving in Hooksett.
"(The employee) stated the female in this article is the one who stole the items," the officer wrote.
The officers reviewed the article and found the woman to be Tasha Nolan, 21, of Dracut, MA. The store manager and employee accused Nolan of coming into the store around 11:15 a.m. attempting to buy a bottle of vodka but her credit card declined. She then attempted to buy a less expensive bottle but the card declined again. The employee said Nolan, during the second transaction, slipped a nip into her pocket and left without paying for it, according to an affidavit.

Fifteen minutes later, Noland returned to the store, grabbed a $12 bottle of Sambuca, and "put the bottle down her pants," the employee stated to police, and fled the store.
Officers eyed security video and reported seeing Nolan walking around the store with the bottle and then, "with her back to the camera," made "an awkward motion by slightly squatting down and appears to place the bottle down the front of her pants," the officer wrote. When she stood back up, Nolan didn't have the bottle in her hands any longer, the officer wrote.

Nolan is then seen walking toward the exit of the store while the employee appeared to attempt to stop her, according to police. She used her hands to push the employee and exit the store, the officer wrote in the affidavit. The act of pushing the employee elevated the theft to a felony robbery charge, police noted in the affidavit.
The officers did a cross agency check on Nolan, confirmed she was the same woman in the Patch article, and spoke with the employee again, who said she was "100 percent positive" the woman in the article was the one involved in the incident.
An affidavit was issued against Nolan on Sept. 26, 2019, on felony robbery and theft by unauthorized taking charges.
Nolan was arrested on Jan. 9 after establishing residency on Mason Road in Chichester. She was arraigned on Jan. 23. She was released on personal recognizance bail with a condition of staying away from the Fort Eddy Road liquor store.
According to police reports online and news roundups on Patch, Nolan was arrested on drunken driving charges in June, July, August, and September 2019, as well as driving after revocation and interlock device violation in May 2019.
