Concord Felon Pleads Guilty To Gun And Ammo Possession Charges
Court: Brandon Dumont attempted to buy a rifle from Walmart in North Conway and did buy 400 rounds of ammo from a Hooksett gun shop in 2022.

CONCORD, NH — A felon from Concord pleaded guilty in possessing firearms and making false statements in U.S. District Court on Wednesday.
Brandon Dumont, 30, will be sentenced in March 2023 on making a false statement concerning the attempted acquisition of a firearm and possession of firearms and ammunition by a prohibited person. In April, he attempted to purchase a rifle at Walmart in North Conway by falsely representing that he had never been convicted of a felony when, in fact, he had previously been convicted of a felony, Jane Young, the U.S. Attorney, said in a statement.
About a week later, Dumont purchased over 400 rounds of ammunition from a gun store in Hooksett. Court information noted Dumont possessed three firearms — including a revolver and a .45 caliber pistol on April 11.

According to superior court records, Dumont was a felon due to a robbery conviction in Derry in March 2010. He pleaded guilty to violation of probation in February 2012. Two years later, he pleaded guilty to a felony theft charge out of Salem. Dumont was arrested on drug possession and delivery of prohibited articles charges out of Brentwood in February 2014, but the charges were nolle prossed later.
The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives and the Concord and Londonderry police departments. He was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Anna Krasinski and Aaron Gingrande.
