Concord Man Arrested Again After Stealing Mom’s Car: Cops

Manchester Police arrested Brendan Carmody early this morning after cops noticed him arguing with a Merrimack teen next to a stolen vehicle.

MANCHESTER, NH — A capital city man with priors was arrested again this morning in the Queen City after police came across two people arguing on Manchester Street, according to police. Brendan Carmody, 25, of Concord, was arrested on Aug. 29, 2017, for two counts of receiving stolen property. At around 2:30 a.m. this morning, officers noticed two people arguing next to a vehicle parked on Manchester Street near Union Street, according to Lt. Brian O’Keefe of the Manchester Police Department.

The officers asked about the purse and the credit cards while running a check on the vehicle. Dispatch reported that the vehicle – a 2014 Toyota Camry – was stolen out of Concord a few days before. Carmody was then arrested and held on a probation/parole violation. He’s due in court today. The teen was released from the scene.

After his arrest, Carmody gave the officers the keys to the vehicle which belonged to his mother, O’Keefe stated. The vehicle, purse, and credit cards, were also returned to his mother.
