Concord Man Arrested On Crack Cocaine Possession, Other Charges

Hooksett Police allege that Dylan Walsh, a suspended driver, failed to stop at a stop sign after exiting a gas station on Bell Avenue.

CONCORD, NH — A local man was arrested on drug and other charges last night after a motor vehicle stop in Hooksett, according to police. Dylan Walsh, 31, of Concord, was arrested on Sept. 21, 2017, for possession of drugs-crack cocaine, transportation of drugs, operating after a suspension, and stop sign violation. At around 7:15 p.m. last night, an officer reportedly observed a vehicle failing to stop at a stop sign while exiting the Circle K gas station on Bell Avenue, according to a report.

The officer stopped the vehicle and spoke to the driver, Walsh, who allegedly “continued to reach under the driver seat after being told not to do so,” according to Sgt. Walsh was asked to step out of the vehicle and gave consent to (the) officer to search the vehicle,” Zappala alleged. “During the search, multiple white rocks believed to be crack cocaine, were located within Walsh’s reach inside the vehicle.”

Walsh was arrested, processed, and released on $8,000 personal recognizance bail. He’s due in Merrimack County Superior Court on Oct. 5, 2017.

Walsh, according to reports on Patch, has a number of priors. In October 2013, he was reportedly involved in an attempt to steal a mattress cover and comforter at Sears at the Steeplegate Mall on Loudon Road. He was arrested in early December of that year. At about the same time, he was reportedly involved in theft incidents at Walmart. He was arrested in January 2014, on three counts of theft by deception and two counts of default or breach of bail conditions. At the time of the arrest, according to police, Walsh was being held in the Rockingham County Jail. In April 2015, he was arrested on two counts of simple assault, two counts of domestic violence-simple assault, and criminal trespass after reportedly spitting at a family member on Hanover Street. Back in January 2016, he was arrested in Concord on a bench warrant for nonappearance in court on a theft by deception charge.
