Concord Police Log: Alleged Drug Dealer Popped for Pills

Plus, more homeless campers summoned, man charged for having a vicious dog, and teen charged for having an open beer.

Philip R. Fournier, 57, of East Penacook Road in Contoocook, was arrested at 7:06 p.m. on Oct. 8, 2015, for possession of drugs, possession of controlled drugs, and transportation of alcohol/open container. An officer stopped a vehicle for speeding – reportedly driving 42 mph in a 30 zone – on North State Street. The officer approached the driver, Fournier, and allegedly immediately smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle. When asked about the smell, Fournier allegedly admitted that he had been smoking a joint. The officer asked where it was and he allegedly handed to the officer and was arrested. During an inventory check of the vehicle, police allegedly found an open container of alcohol and that charge was added. Fournier is due in court on Nov. 16.

Roger A. Hutchins, 46, a homeless man now located in Concord, received a summons at 3:03 a.m. on Oct. 8, for criminal trespass. A checked the Capitol Commons Garage on Storrs Street and allegedly found Hutchins sleeping in a stairwell. The officer noted that he warned Hutchins not to sleep in the garage on Oct. 3, 2015. Dispatch also advised that Hutchins received a warning on Oct. 1, 2015, not to sleep in the garages. He received a summons and is due in court on Nov. 16.

Miguel A. Goodwin, 37, of Branch Turnpike in Concord, was arrested at 8:28 a.m. on Sept. 1, for simple assault and domestic violence simple assault. Officers were sent to the Morning Star Apartments on Loudon Road for a 911 hang up call where a woman stated that her husband was trying to take her child. When they arrived, they met with a man, Goodwin, who reportedly stated that he and his girlfriend had been fighting since the night before. She reportedly left the apartment, saying that she wasn’t coming back, and he took his sons to his new apartment. When he returned the next morning to get his things, the woman was there and demanded to know where her son was. Goodwin reportedly stated that the boy was watching his baby and she “snapped and demanded for him to bring her son back,” according to the report. He agreed but she called 911. Goodwin alleged that the woman would often “beat herself up and call the cops on him,” according to the report. The woman, however, alleged that Goodwin “punched her in the face” and officers went to speak with her. She alleged that Goodwin was inside the apartment and when she arrived, he allegedly told her that she was not getting her child back. “She told me that she went to the door to leave the apartment but Miguel grabbed her,” the report stated. “(She) said that Miguel threw her to the ground and then hit her in her mouth when she was on the ground.” The officer checked on the claim of the woman calling the cops on Goodwin and “did not find any record of this.” Goodwin was then arrested.

Thomas Kum, 53, of Pekoe Drive in Concord, received a summons at 8:20 p.m. on Sept. 1, for criminal trespass from Aug. 8, 2015. He was served at Moritomo Japanese Steak House on Fort Eddy Road.

Shawn M. McCarthy, 44, of Walker Street in Concord, was arrested at 10:41 p.m. on Aug. 31, for driving while intoxicated and conduct after an accident. Officers were sent to a report of a car crash on Washington and White streets. Prior to the crash call, they received a report from dispatch about a red pickup truck that might be driving drunk after the subject entered Checkmate Pizza on Washington Street and appeared to be intoxicated. The officer spoke to the man, later identified as McCarthy, who had a Louisiana driver’s license. He was allegedly slurring his speech, had glassy eyes, and spoke very slowly. McCarthy had an injury but reportedly refused medical treatment. After talking about his physical condition and whether or not he was “buzzed” or in any condition to drive, he was arrested.

Danielle S. Clark, 42, of Greenwood Avenue in Concord, was arrested at 4:13 p.m. on Aug. 31, on five counts of possession of a prescription drug without a prescription from June 3, 2015. She’s due in court on Oct. 19.

Sheila M. Gray, 42, of Old Suncook Road in Concord, was arrested at 7:45 p.m. on Aug. 30, for criminal threatening from an incident on Aug. 11, 2015. She’s due in court on Oct. 19.

Robert J. Harrison, 44, of East Side Drive in Concord, was arrested at 5:42 p.m. on Aug. 30, for driving after revocation or suspension after a traffic stop on Loudon Road for an expired inspection sticker. A check of his record yielded three prior convictions for operating after suspension in Plymouth, Nashua, and Plaistow district courts during the 1980s and 1900s. He also had his license suspended in May 2010 for default child support. Harrison is due in court on Oct. 19.

Diane C. Normand, 61, of Manchester Street in Concord, was arrested at 2:50 p.m. on Aug. 30, for theft by unauthorized taking or transfer – $18.24 worth of deli items – allegedly stolen from Hannaford on Fort Eddy Road. She’s due in court on Oct. 19.

Richard C. Murray, 63, of Shaker Road, received two summonses at 1:22 a.m. on Aug. 30, for dog a menace, nuisance, or vicious. One was for an incident on Aug. 21, 2015, that the officer allegedly witnessed.

Michael Foster, 53, of North Emperor Drive in Concord, was arrested at 2:13 a.m. on Aug. 30, for resisting arrest or detention. Police were sent to an apartment on Fisherville Road for a possible domestic and made contact with a woman and Foster. Both, the reporting officer alleged, showed signs of intoxication. The woman alleged that Foster, a friend, came over and the two got into an argument and she now wanted him to leave. Foster allegedly wouldn’t answer any questions. When asked if he could get a ride home, he allegedly stated, “Go ahead and take me in.” After some back and forth, he was cuffed to be taken into protective custody and was led out of the building. He allegedly, however, became more belligerent and was yelling, and tried to pull away from the officer so he was arrested for resisting and was held.
