Police knocked on the door repeatedly and eventually, a woman, later identified as Behrmann, answered the door and stepped out in the hallway. A man could be seen holding a baby while there were other children in the apartment crying, according to the report. The man reportedly told an officer that the two had been together since June and but lately, had been arguing. He stated that he came home from work and picked up their baby and that Behrmann immediately was “yelling” at him about his Facebook account. She allegedly grabbed his phone and became “enraged” when she couldn’t access his account since he changed the password. She reportedly ran into the bathroom and he followed. The two scuffled over the phone and both fell. He injured his thumb and the officer noted fresh blood under the thumbnail. They continued to argue and later, Behrmann allegedly punched him in the face just below the left eye. The officer noted that his face was “red and slightly swollen,” according to the report. He then got his phone back and sent a message to a neighbor via Facebook requesting he call police to come to the home. He put his phone down again and she allegedly grabbed it and tried to go through it again. An officer spoke to the neighbor and confirmed the message and took a screenshot of it. Officers then spoke to Behrmann who was reportedly “very detailed in telling” the reporting officer about accusations against her boyfriend but “very vague and non-descript in her answers” about what happened between the two of them. Paris was allegedly “slurring speech and stumbling all over the place when he walked.” She went back to her home and he allegedly had repeated difficulties trying to park. Since she was concerned he would cause more damage to other vehicles, she called 911. She asked him to stay until police arrived but he allegedly refused and went into his home.
