Concord Police Release Identity Of Man Struck During South End Crash

CONCORD, NH — An investigation into a fatal crash in the South End last week is ongoing, but Concord police have released the victim’s name.

Arian Molla, 54, of Manchester, was struck near South and Fayette streets around 6:30 a.m. on Sept. 19.

According to scanner chatter, police sent police to the area for a report of a vehicle versus a pedestrian crash. Dispatchers were told Molla was on the ground and reportedly unconscious by witnesses.

Capital Area Mutual Aid Fire Compact was alerted and sent fire and rescue teams. A Status 1 alert was put on his call while EMTs prepped him to be taken to Concord Hospital with an active trauma alert.

The first responding officers shut down South Street at Fayette and Wall streets and Pleasant and South streets while requesting more officers to handle traffic. Police took pictures of the crash scene while also speaking to witnesses. The woman who drove the vehicle that struck Molla was in her late 30s.

Deputy Chief John Thomas said Monday Molla died at the hospital on Sept. 22, due to injuries sustained in the crash. No charges have been filed.

“This accident is still under investigation,” he said.

On Thursday, one of Molla’s relatives and his friend were in the city from New York to pay their last respects. They claim they were attacked while parked outside the Hotel Concord. Victor Gareth Manns, 23, was accused of the knife attack and charged with several felonies. He was arraigned and held on preventative detention on Friday.
