Don Little, 39, of Rumford Street in Concord was arrested at 9:40 p.m. on June 3 on eight counts of possession of a controlled drug as well as possession of marijuana or hash and tail lamp and reflectors violation. Also arrested at 10 p.m. on June 5 was Sidney R. Gonsalves, 30, of Hall Street in Concord on a felony drug possession charge. Around 1 a.m. on Oct. 1, 2022, an officer in the parking lot of the Dunkin’ Donuts on South Main Street near Exit 12 on I-93 saw a 2014 Honda Accord with a driver’s side plate light that was defective. The officer pulled the car over and spoke to the driver, Little, who was accused of being “extremely frantic, his hands were shaking, and his voice was trembling,” as well as a woman, later identified as Gonsalves, a passenger. The report said the officer questioned Little about what he was doing and where he was going. The officer also said Bow police were eyeing Little and his car while parked in the Irving “for an extended time,” an affidavit said. “Don told me that he forgot that he had just stopped to get some snacks,” the officer wrote. Gonsalves, the officer wrote, declined to allow him to see her ID and had her legs crossed and hands in her sweatshirt. After taking Little aside, he was questioned and said he did not know the woman’s full name or nickname, a report stated. Other officers arrived as the reporting officer spoke with Gonsalves. The officer, the affidavit said, noticed a black-colored item tucked underneath her right leg and she said it was a butane lighter. The report said the officer also noticed “significant damage to her teeth,” which were “dark in color,” possibly due to drug usage. The reporting officer returned to Little and questioned him about the lighter, and he was accused of admitting to using drugs in the past but had been clean since going to prison. He declined, however, a consent search of the vehicle, and a K-9 dog was requested to sniff for narcotics, the report said. Little also denied knowing there were drugs in the vehicle, the officer wrote. Gonsalves was removed from the car and the K-9 “alerted to the presence of narcotics on the passenger side of the vehicle” and police seized the vehicle. A search warrant was requested on Oct. 3, 2022. Two days later, a scale with white residue, as well as pills and other items, were found in the vehicle. Warrants were then issued against Little and Gonsalves. According to superior court records, Gonsalves, who was living in New Bedford, Massachusetts, at the time, was arrested on a drug sales charge in Manchester on Oct. 6, 2022. She was also charged with felony falsifying physical evidence in Manchester on Jun 5 after police were sent to the Holiday Inn Express for a disturbance call. She also had an active Merrimack County Superior Court warrant on a drug charge. The officer noted that after being handcuffed and placed in the cruiser, she was accused of concealing narcotics “somewhere on her person” after drugs were “spread throughout the transport wagon around the area where she was sitting.” The officer wrote Gonsalves “consumed the narcotics en route to the jail because, while being detained on the jail bench, Gonsalves was found slumped over in an overdose state.” She was taken to the hospital and charged later.

Timothy Joseph Byron, 35, of Manchester was arrested at 9:54 p.m. on June 5 on overdose-death, drug sale-death resulting, and falsifying physical evidence charges, all felonies. He was arrested after an incident on Mayflower Drive. Byron was arraigned in Merrimack County Superior Court on June 22. He has a dispositional conference hearing on Aug. 11.
