At the apartment complex, officers spoke to Al Al Khulaifawi who reported that her stomach was bothering her but she refused to speak English to officers or EMTs, according to a report. The officer stated that she had had “numerous contacts” with Al Al Khulaifawi and “she speaks English without issue.”
When EMTs asked if she had been hit, she reportedly stated that she had and it was in the stomach and that she was also thrown on her back. She reportedly stated that her boyfriend had just assaulted her and he had left. The officer – who knew that the man had shown up at police headquarters at the same time and didn’t drive – asked how the situation could have just happened.

“Sarah then refused to speak and laid on the couch pretending to sleep,” the officer alleged. “Fire looked over Sarah and her back and stated that they did not observe any injuries.”
EMTs cleared the scene and the officer continued to try and speak to Al Al Khulaifawi but she allegedly refused to provide any details about the incident. When she did speak about it, the officer alleged, “Sarah could not keep her story straight on when the incident occurred (and) then started they were arguing over a ring because (they) were engaged.”
The officer then spoke to her colleague at headquarters after he interviewed the man. According to his report, the victim alleged that she assaulted him after she misplaced her engagement ring three hours before. He went out to have a cigarette to get away from her because she was “acting crazy,” he alleged.
“(He) explained Sarah has asked him to give her money constantly and that he has tried to explain he needs his money to pay for essential things,” the report alleged. “(He) said Sarah got upset and pushed him approximately two or three times (and) ‘swiped’ him and spit at him when he went to leave.”
Al Al Khulaifawi allegedly continued to yell at him and then, locked him out of the apartment so he walked to the police station. The officer at headquarters reported seeing a red scratch on his neck that appeared new.
The reporting officer returned to Al Al Khulaifawi and asked about the pushing allegation but she reportedly denied it. She also denied scratching him but when asked about whether or not she spat at him, she allegedly admitted it and was arrested.
Previously, according to reports, Al Al Khulaifawi was arrested for domestic assault and mischief on Aug. 2, and stalking and breach of bail two days after that. All the incidents were against her fiancée, according to police.
