The drug enforcement unit requested an officer pull over a vehicle after an undercover officer alleged that Villnave had stolen $80 from him during an investigation. An officer and sergeant stopped the vehicle and arrested her. According to a court affidavit, she allegedly took the money from the undercover officer for heroin, said she had to go into Walmart to the jewelry section to get the drugs, and would bring it out. Surveillance units watched her as she went into Walmart near the Subway Restaurant and then walked out of the store via the garden section. “After Nina was stopped, she admitted to having taken the money and that she had no intentions of purchasing the heroin or returning the money,” according to an officer. A check yielded a habitual offender status so that charge was also added to her docket. She was arrested and held without bail.
