CONCORD, NH — A local homeless man is facing a felony charge after being accused of driving on Fisherville Road while being certified as a habitual offender for nearly four years.

An officer on patrol in Penacook on Feb. 11, drove by a Volvo station wagon with a spiderweb crack covering the entire windshield. The car was pulled over at Thirty Pines on Village Street after a short drive with the officer accusing the driver of failing to pull over.

The officer asked the driver, identified as Paul Eric Loukedes, 52, a homeless man now located in Concord, why he did not stop after the officer turned on their lights and siren. He was accused of saying all he was trying to do was eat his parfait.

Loukedes admitted to not having a license and, while running a check, was found to have two active warrants. One warrant was a no bail warrant out of Grafton County for nonappearance in court, while the other was a parole violation. He was also certified to be a habitual offender in March 2019. While dispatch checked the warrants to see if they were still active, Loukedes was cuffed.

Loukedes asked if he could smoke one last cigarette before being taken to jail and the officer told him, No, the report said.
