Home Invasion Suspect Accused Of Possessing Meth, $31K In Cash After East Concord Incident
Affidavit: Gregory Murray possessed meth and cash — and was "just trying to run away" from the "crazy white people" who were chasing him.

CONCORD, NH — A felon from Concord is in more trouble with the law after an incident in East Concord last month.
Around 10 p.m. on June 12, police were sent to a possible home invasion or burglary on Mountain Road. Before arriving, a man had restrained the suspect to the ground. Officers arrived and found a man “without a shirt” and “sweating profusely,” and placed him in handcuffs. After being cuffed and taken to a cruiser, the officer noted he was still “sweating uncontrollably,” and his skin was “hot to the touch.”
The officers patted down the man, later identified as Gregory Alan Murray, 37, of Shaker Road in Concord, and accused him of possessing a 6-inch meth pipe with burnt residue in his right shoe. He was accused of having “a large amount of money that was mostly 50s and 100s inside Gregory’s backpack wrapped in black electrical tape.”

At headquarters, during booking, a baggie wrapped in black electrical tape, believed to be meth, fell out of his socks, an affidavit said. Inside his wallet, 44 buprenorphine packets were found, the report said. The affidavit said more money was also found in his backpack — bringing the total amount of cash he was carrying to $30,758.
When asked why he was carrying so much money, Murray was said it was “Social Security” and “back pay” while in prison, an affidavit said. He also said he was looking to buy some real estate and turn his life around, the report stated. Murray was then asked about the meth and was accused of admitting it must have been his since it was in his sock — but he was unsure how the drugs got there. When asked about the home invasion, “Gregory advised that he wasn’t trying to break into anyone’s home … he was just trying to run away from the crazy white people that were chasing him,” the report said.
