Felon Fugitive With 'Violent Tendencies' Caught In Manchester
Police: Troy Woodruff, who has been wanted since July for probation violations, was arrested in the Queen City Sunday with meth and a knife.

MANCHESTER, NH — A New Hampshire felon with violent tendencies is back behind bars after a two-month search. Troy Woodruff, 43, was arrested Sunday on an outstanding warrant from U.S. District Court on probation violations as well as possession of a controlled drug-methamphetamine, felon in possession of a dangerous weapons-knife, and resisting arrest or detention. At around 1 p.m., Manchester police saw Woodruff exit a Spruce Street residence.
The officers attempted to contact him to place him under arrest on the probation violations warrant but as they approached and gave him commands to stop, Woodruff "reached toward his waistband and attempted to conceal himself between nearby vehicles," according to Sgt. Matthew Barter of the Manchester Police Department.
"Woodruff then fled on foot, jumping numerous fences in his attempt to evade the officers," Barter said. "Manchester police officers were able to corner Woodruff in the front of a home on Spruce Street, where he was taken into custody without further incident."

Officers returned to the area where Woodruff is accused of attempting to conceal himself and located a hat, other personal property, and a large double-edged knife, Barter alleged. When he was searched, police reportedly found him in possession of meth. Woodruff will be arraigned in Hillsborough County Superior Court Monday.
Woodruff was the District of New Hampshire - New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force Fugitive of the Week on Aug. 7. Marshals have been searching for him since late July, placing a "violent tendencies" warning on his warrant due to past criminal activity. That activity includes a robbery charge and standoff with Manchester police in October 2008, and a second-degree assault charge in Nashua in 2010. He was indicted earlier this year on weapon, resisting, evidence, and other charges after an incident in Manchester in November of last year.
