CONCORD, NH — The aunt of a runaway teen who moved to Concord in 2022 but was shot and killed in Providence, Rhode Island, on Saturday, has created a fundraising effort to help his family members.

Angel Bynum said the GoFundMe.com funds would help his sister stay in Rhode Island while they deal with the grief and investigation of the killing.

“Isiah was the funniest, sweetest, and all-around likable kind of kid,” he wrote. “A person who just drew you to him. If it wasn't his smile that invited you in, it was his funny jokester ways.”

Bynum said Rosario was raised in Providence, but his mom moved the family after the state’s capital city worsened. She moved to Bristol and South Kingstown before settling in Concord in 2022 for a better life.

“She wanted her sons to enjoy life without the influences of the inner city surrounding them,” Bynum said. “My sister helped teach me how to be a mother and a believer in God and defined what family first means. Our family is shattered by this and my sister and Isiah's siblings need to be surrounded by family and love.”
