Man Strangled, Pulled Knife On Woman At Concord Party: Report
Jalen Murchison was arrested last week and is under investigation on a rape accusation after an underage drinking party on Silk Farm Road.

CONCORD, NH — A Queen City man accused of sexual assault was arrested on other charges after an underage drinking party in the southwestern part of the city turned violent last Saturday. Police were sent to a home at the intersection of Silk Farm Road and Lewis Lane on Aug. 23, at just before midnight, after receiving an anonymous tip about a possible underage drinking party. After investigating checking the ages of attendees at the party, two Concord residents – Dana C. Salem and Snow Spencer – were both given summonses for unlawful possession and intoxication, due to being under 21.
About five hours later, police were called back to the home for a report of a large fight outside involving around 10 people and Jalen Murchison, 23, of Manchester, was implicated in the assault and later, arrested.
The Concord Monitor reported Friday that, according to an affidavit, the victim, who is an intimate partner of Murchison, walked in on him sexually assaulting another woman. The couple began arguing and the victim accused Murchison of punching her in the face, strangling her, and throwing her against a stove, in front of others at the party. Another witness also claimed that Murchison pulled a knife on the victim.

Police, according to the report, interviewed both women as part of the investigation but had not filed sexual assault charges at post time. During an interview with police, Murchison reportedly admitted to drinking a lot but denied strangling or threatening anyone with a knife, according to the report.
Murchison, according to reports on Patch, has been arrested numerous times during the past six years. In September 2013, he was arrested on a drug charge in Windham. In January 2015, he was arrested on a theft charge at the Sunoco station on Loudon Road in Concord. About two and half years later, he was arrested in Hooksett on a warrant after attending a party with two women in which a purse was reportedly stolen. A few months later, state police arrested Murchison on I-93 in Hooksett on a bench warrant. Last month, Murchison was arrested on a driving while intoxicated-subsequent and operating after suspension charges by state police during a DWI saturation patrol in the greater Concord area.
