Two people spoke with the first officer to arrive at the scene and alleged that while walking north on Village Street, both Macrae and Plaisted crossed the street and confronted them. One victim – a minor – claimed that Macrae slapped him in the face and then, a melee between all involved occurred.
Macrae reportedly told the officer that the other teen had previously been told to leave a local store shoplifting. She alleged that he had been in the store twice in two days. Macrae stated that the teen threatened her, said he would come to the store whenever he wanted, and added that he would come back with nine buddies. She reportedly stated that she felt threatened by the remarks.

Macrae stated that she mentioned to Plaisted that they were the boys in the store and he reportedly said something to them and then they crossed the street to confront them. She said after that, it got “ugly,” and more people came out of one of the buildings to confront all involved. As they tried to walk way, the boys continued to yell at them and it “got out of hand,” the report alleged.
Macrae also reportedly denied hitting anyone but took her sandals off since she thought there might be a fight. She also claimed she was “picked up into the air and moved out of the way” by an older, bigger woman, but that was all that happened.
Plaisted reportedly refused to talk to police saying on several occasions that he was not “a cop caller.” Later, however, he reportedly stated that he was just attempting to protect his girlfriend and ordered told them not to make threats. Plaisted stated there were three teens and he thought he could take them but didn’t touch them, according to the affidavit.
The officers spoke to one of the teens and noted that both sides of his face were red with a small red mark along his jawline but he refused medical attention. The victim alleged that Plaisted crossed the street, took off his shirt, and started yelling, “You want bring eight guys to the store and start sh--?!” The teen denied threatening Macrae. Everyone, he added, was yelling, and then Macrae came at him and allegedly hit him in the face.
“(The victim) stated he was pushed away as the girl tried hitting his friend’s sister and kept running her mouth,” according to the report. “I asked (the victim) if he tried to fight anyone and he told me that he did ‘size up the male’ but did not fight.”
Two other witnesses related to the victim both gave similar accounts of the incident claiming that Macrae and Plaisted instigated the incident. The also confirmed that a third teen picked up Macrae after she allegedly struck two people – to keep her from hitting anyone else.
Two independent witnesses – a 911 caller and a woman who watched the incident form her home – alleged that Macrae started the incident.
The caller alleged that Macrae pushed another woman and that one of the teens tried to take a swing at Plaisted but missed. There was more yelling and posturing but then, both parties walked away, he claimed. The woman claimed that they were both yelling at the teens and it escalated with Macrae allegedly pushing a woman.
A few weeks later, warrants were issued against Macrae and Plaisted and they were arrested not long after.
Macrae, according to reports on Patch, has been arrested for theft, driving while intoxicated, and a bench warrant due to a DWI charge in the past. Plaisted has previously been arrested for simple assault, theft, reckless driving, and warrants.
